Professional Background

Since I earned my MBBS in 2016, I have spent three rewarding years teaching pathology to medical students in Dehradun. I guided future doctors and deepened my own understanding of how diseases work. After that, I completed a residency in Clinical Microbiology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi where I refined my laboratory and patient care skills.

As Senior Resident at Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan a 200 bed government hospital, I cared for people from all walks of life. I managed everything from seasonal flu, dengue, typhoid and malaria to long term conditions like diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and COPD. Working closely with fellow doctors, nurses and lab staff I have learned to balance detailed diagnostic work with genuine compassion. This is the approach I bring to every patient I see.

Special Interest in Infectious Diseases

My journey into infectious diseases began in my childhood village in rural Bihar where I watched my father tirelessly treat patients suffering from elephantiasis. I saw firsthand how a neglected disease could devastate families and how hope could be restored through careful diagnosis and compassionate care. That deep early impression led me to spend three intense years at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi immersed in the study and diagnosis of infections. There I worked alongside experts tackling everything from resistant bacterial strains to exotic tropical illnesses. Today I bring that same blend of hands-on experience, scientific curiosity and heartfelt empathy to every person who walks through my clinic door.

My contributions to medical journals help keep my practice firmly grounded in evidence-based approaches while staying current with medical advances-ensuring you receive care that reflects the latest in medical knowledge.

My Approach to Patient Care

I believe that exceptional healthcare requires both medical expertise and genuine human connection. In my practice, this means:

  • Taking time to listen and understand your complete health concerns
  • Explaining conditions and options in clear, accessible language
  • Developing treatment plans that incorporate your preferences and goals
  • Considering all factors that influence your health and wellbeing
  • Providing timely referrals to specialists when needed
"I view each patient interaction as an opportunity to build a partnership for better health. My aim is to provide care that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term wellbeing."

Family Legacy of Care

It fills me with pride to honor a lineage of medical service that stretches back through two remarkable generations. My grandfather, Dr Sharda Prasad Singh, held the esteemed post of Civil Surgeon in Bihar at a time when public health infrastructure was still taking shape. He traveled across remote districts, often on rough roads and with limited resources, to organize vaccination campaigns, combat endemic diseases such as cholera and malaria, and train local health workers. His leadership not only saved lives but also laid the groundwork for more structured healthcare delivery in the region.

Following in his footsteps, my father, Dr Subhash Prasad Singh, began his career as a Medical Officer before advancing to Assistant Chief Medical Officer, where he led efforts against Japanese encephalitis through surveillance, community education and outbreak response. He then served as Additional Director in Bihar Health Services until his retirement. In each role he balanced administrative planning with hands-on patient care, modernized district hospitals, introduced laboratory diagnostics at smaller health centres, and launched community outreach programs focused on maternal and child health. I grew up watching him comfort anxious patients on late-night ward rounds and mentor young nurses with patience and wisdom. Their combined example of medical excellence and deep community engagement shapes my own approach today.
